Welcome

Thank you for selecting MTH My Money. At MTH, we have a passion for making people more productive through better, smarter software solutions. We build high quality personal financial programs with attention paid to the details of efficient use. Our software is very customizable for the advanced user, and quick to learn for the new user. System requirements

My Money is a cross platform product that operates under Microsoft Windows, Macintosh OS X or Linux operating systems. Some supported data sources are available only on the Windows platform. Otherwise the product functionality is identical on Windows, Linux and Macintosh.

Mac

My Money supports both PowerPC and Intel Macintosh systems (Universal Binary).

To use My Money 2.0 for Mac, you need the following:

  1. Macintosh with PowerPC or Intel processor
  2. Mac OS X version 10.4.x or later
  3. 512 MB installed RAM
  4. 75 MB disk space required for installation; 60 MB after installation
  5. Color monitor with at least 800x600 resolution and thousands of colors
  6. DVD-ROM drive
  7. Internet access to access online features, including online account access and online payment

To find out which version of the system software you are using or how much RAM you have, choose About This Computer, or About This Mac from the Apple (K) menu. To find out how much free space you have on your hard disk, look in the upper right corner of any window in the Finder (in Icon or Small Icon view).

Windows

  1. Windows XP/SP2 or Vista
  2. 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  3. 512 MB of system memory
  4. 75 MB disk space required for installation; 60 MB after installation
  5. Support for DirectX 9 graphics and 32 MB of graphics memory
  6. DVD-ROM drive
  7. Internet access to access online features, including online account access and online payment

Linux

  1. Ubuntu 8.x or Mint or Linspire Linux or Freespire
  2. 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  3. 512 MB of system memory
  4. 75 MB disk space required for installation; 60 MB after installation
  5. DVD-ROM drive
  6. Internet access to access online features, including online account access and online payment


Installing My Money

MTH My Money software may be installed via download from the Internet or from CD-ROM.


To install from the Internet:

  1. Direct your web browser to http://www.mthbuilt.com
  2. On the home page, click the link to go to the Download Center.
  3. Click the “Download” button at the bottom of the form.
  4. Follow the instructions to download My Money for the correct platform (Windows, Linux or Macintosh). Windows users can install directly from the web site, or download an installer program and run it. Macintosh users will download a dmg package and launch it. Linux user will download a deb package and launch it.

Installing on a Mac



To install from CD-ROM:

  1. Insert the CD-ROM into the computer’s CD-ROM drive.
  2. Open the CD-ROM window and double-click on the installer application icon to begin the installation process.

The installation program will install a folder on the hard drive to contain the My Money application and various related folders needed for its operation. Place the folder directly on the hard drive.

Installing on Ubuntu

Starting My Money

Windows users start My Money from the Start Menu. Please select Programs then My Money program group then mymoney.

Starting on Windows

Macintosh users start the My Money application. Make an alias for My Money and place the alias on the desktop. Alternatively, place the alias in the Apple Menu items folder. The alias will then appear in the Apple menu.

Linux users start My Money from Applications-Office menu
